1985 – The first step into professional life

In 1985, I started my professional career as an employee in the credit department of Banque de Luxembourg.

1987 to 1997 – Attaining a variety of banking experience

From 1987 to 1997, I worked for the Swiss Bank Corporation. I started in the Corporate
Credit Department for large institutions and gradually became involved in merchant banking
and institutional banking. In 1996, as a sector head, I took over responsibility for the Private
Credit Department of the bank, for its international banking relations and for private banking services.

1997 to 2000 – UBS is a success

With the merger of the SBC with the Union Bank of Switzerland in 1998, I took over responsibility for
the private labelling business of UBS Fund Services (Luxembourg). Offering the know-how of
UBS in Luxembourg in the setting-up of tailor-made fund struc-tures for third party banks
and large institutional investors, I managed to raise several billion
CHF within a time frame of only three years.

2001 to 2005 – Moving up the ranks

In 2001, I accepted a new challenge as Head of Financial Planning with UBS
(Luxembourg). Very quickly I developed this activity into a new and unique business
unit offering tailor-made investment fund services to high net wealth clients. This
new unit became active on September 1, 2001 with the set-up and launch of a small dedicated
fund for wealthy clients, and I was promoted to Head of Key Cli-ents Western Europe.
By the end of 2005, I was offering my services to a variety of ultra-high net wealth clients
spread across the whole of Europe. In 2005, I was promoted to the rank of managing director and
became a member of the Executive Board of UBS in Luxembourg.

2006 to 2007 – Global clients are the key

At the end of 2006, I had a substantial amount of money under management. I created
the Global Key Clients’ Unit, providing wealth structuring solutions for key clients worldwide.
Client focus clearly has always been my main driving force. To ensure best possible client experience,
the Global Key Clients Unit ensures client responsibility throughout the full client life cycle. This
unique client offering directed at global key clients results in a true lead offer for this client segment.
